Our New Home

Last Fall we realized we had outgrown our current house. All 5 of us have been sleeping in only 2 bedrooms upstairs. Teagan and Ethan have been sharing a room and Cal's crib found a permanent place in our bedroom. In other words, the past year has been sleepless. When one baby is crying, or Ethan has a bad dream, or especially when someone is sick (which has been the case all winter) then everyone wakes up. So, as much as we love this house and have put a lot of work into making it perfect, we decided to make a move. It made more sense financially to move than to sink more money into our house by adding more bedrooms. So, that began our search for our new home.

On December 15, 2008 we bought our new home. It was a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. It is only 5 blocks away from our current house. We won't have to move away from the things we love about our neighborhood.

Our deadline has been May 1, 2009. We hope to move into our new house next month! Here is what the outside looks like as of April 4th...

In the meantime, we've been working our asses off getting our current house ready for the market. The FOR SALE sign will be in the yard on April 15th. We are fairly hopeful as home sales in our area have been steady and prices are back on the rise. Wish us luck and spread the word. :)
