Curling 28

Calin and Teagan went in for their 4 month check-up yesterday. They are growing and developing right on track for their age, which is actually impressive since they were born 1 month early and slightly underweight. Typically, preemies will reach their milestones according to their due-date instead of their actual birthday, but these two have caught up with their 4-month old peers.

They have also doubled their birth weight already! Cal weighed in at 15lbs 4oz. and Teagan weighed in at12lbs 12oz. For a total of 28 pounds of babes that I somehow manage to carry around all day. Add in the 10+ lbs of car seats when we're out and about and I'm curling almost 40lbs on a regular basis. I tote these guys everywhere, especially with Ethan's busy schedule. It sure is helping me get back into shape.
Here are some pictures of the last couple weeks...

Go Cubs!

My god, it felt so good to get away!

Nick and I went on our first child-free vacation since our honeymoon. Yes, almost 2 years. Sure, we've traveled with the gang a few times already, but this time we escaped without the kids. Our first child-free vacation was FABULOUS! We forgot how good it feels to relax and take time for ourselves.

Chicago rocks- What a cool city! The weather was perfect and we walked all over downtown, site-seeing, eating and drinking. The next day we went to the Cubs game. Cubs games are wild! Sunshine, baseball, bleachers and beer! The 7 hours of after-game bar hopping always leads to fun times and hilarious stories.

Of course, while we were out having fun the grandparents were at baby-boot-camp. They have their own stories, of survival, of their 24 hour shifts with all 3 kids. They keep repeating, "We don't know how you do this."
Thanks moms and dads for letting us get away. We'll let you know when we book our next trip. Colorado in the Fall?
